In the aftermath of Zira Enlil-Korvann’s sacrifice, her youngest son Lee Korvann grows up on the industrial planet Mu, far from the courts and temples of the Imperium. Haunted by vague memories of his mother and plagued by an undefined illness he treats with black-market medicine, Lee struggles to survive in the slums and the orphanage he calls home. His only comforts are his makeshift family — Hodja, the wise but weary caretaker; Killian, his cheerful brother-in-arms; and Dog, a loyal feline companion.

When a desperate attempt to win a high-stakes race to save their home ends in defeat, Lee’s hidden lineage is revealed. A faded birthmark on his arm glows with an otherworldly light — the mark of the Zhor bloodline. Suddenly, Lee is no longer a forgotten orphan but a living piece of prophecy. The revelation draws the attention of both allies and enemies.

Meanwhile, the Imperium has shifted under the iron grip of High-Lord Arran Korvann, Lee’s estranged father. Now Grand Archon of the Priesthood, Arran wields faith as a weapon, enforcing obedience across the thousand world Empire. Beside him stands Jagaren Korvann, Lee’s older brother, raised in violence and fueled by grief. Jagaren has grown into a hardened warrior-priest, convinced that Lee is to blame for his beloved mother’s death. To him, Lee’s return is not a reunion, but a reckoning.

The revelation of Lee’s birthright ignites a larger struggle surrounding the three Anuk relics — the Kal, Kad, and Amon-I. Said to contain the power to redesign the Imperium, they are sought by Arran to cement his rule, by Jagaren to avenge their mother, and by shadow factions who see prophecy as a weapon of rebellion. Into this storm steps Els’beth, a thief and fugitive whose path crosses Lee’s when she discovers one of the relics. Her choices intertwines her fate with his, forcing them both into the center of a galactic chase.

As Lee is hunted across star systems, he is forced to confront the truth of his bloodline and the weight of prophecy. Hodja reveals fragments of the past — the destruction of his mother’s kingdom, and the long exile of those who carry the Zhor mark. Yet for all the wisdom he offers, even Hodja cannot shield Lee from the pull of destiny.

Betrayals multiply. Allies falter. Mannie, a roguish smuggler with shifting loyalties, draws Lee deeper into the underworld, even as the Imperium tightens its grip. Each step forward brings Lee closer to a final confrontation with Jagaren, who believes that only one brother can survive.

As armies clash and relics awaken, the battle expands beyond politics and rebellion into a spiritual war for the soul of the Imperium. At its heart lies the fate of a single world — Earth, a burgeoning planet whispered to be the final sanctuary of humanity. If the relics fall to Arran and Jagaren, Earth will be the first world to burn.

In the climax, Lee must face the full shadow of his family. To Arran, he is an heir to be controlled. To Jagaren, he is a traitor to be destroyed. But to himself, Lee is still just a broken orphan, struggling to find his place in a universe that has already written his story. Surrounded by war, betrayal, and the echo of prophecy, he must decide whether to embrace the path laid out before him — or shatter it completely, even if it means sacrificing everything.

The story closes not on triumph, but on choice. Lee Korvann, son of prophecy, holds the fate of empires in his hands. His decision will either fulfill the prophecy of the Zhor bloodline — or end it forever.
